Trip to Halong bay

The trip from Hanoi to Halong bay involves initially a minibus ride with typically starts at 8am, when the minibuses of the various travel agencies start collecting the travellers in the various hotels in Hanoi. All minibuses stop around 11am at a souvenir shop, before continuing to drive to the harbour of the city of Halong. Around 12pm the boats leave the harbour of Halong for the islands. Daytrippers leave Halong for Hanoi around 5pm.
