Jumeirah beach area and Internet City

Southwest of the Palm Jumeirah island complex is a stretch of the Jumeirah beach where several international five star hotels lie. Development of the area was still ongoing at the time of visiting (2009). The beach itself is beautiful, an endless strip of sand bordering the crystal clear water. The Dubai Internet City is a free economic zone and technology park set up in Dubai at the turn of the millenium to attract foreign companies. It is located opposite Palm Jumeirah, and north of the Dubai Marina beach area.
