Koh Samet is a Thai island located in the gulf of Thailand off the province of Rayong, approximately 220 km southeast of Bangkok. The island derives its name from the cajeput tree found throughout the island, as the Thai language word for cajeput is samet. Koh Samet has beautiful beaches and crystal clear water. It is conveniently located and can be reached by minibus and ferry in approx. four hours from Bangkok.
