Sinaia is a small city of 10000 inhabitants in the southern Carpathian mountains. It's a popular hiking and winter sports resort and as such has many hotels and restaurants and a good tourist infrastructure. The city is clean and well set up. The major touristic highlight is the PeleČ™ castle, a 19th century Neo-Renaissance castle located in a forested area above the city.
