King Michael I park is a large park in the north of Bucharest around Lake Herăstrău. Arcul de Triumf is a triumphal arch built to commemorate the Romanian independence of 1878. The former Ceausescu residence or Ceausescu palace is a luxurious building where Nicolae Ceausescu, the former head of state of Romania, lived.
