Modern Trondheim

Trondheim only has a handful of historic buildings. Most of the city is covered by modern buildings, some of which were recently added. The Torvet is a centrally located, large square which has been recently renovated. In the past it was a market square and a residential area for the rich, with mansions on three sides of the square. The Trondheim Torg shopping mall is on this square. The central station is located along the coast north of the city centre.
