The Arctic-Alpine Botanic Garden (Arktisk alpin Botanisk hage in Norwegian) is located 4km north of the centre of Tromsø. It's the world's northernmost botanic garden with Arctic, Antarctic and Alpine plants from all continents spread over a large open air compound. The garden opened in 1994 and the entrance is free of charge.
