Bodø is a small city of 52000 inhabitants in the Nordland county of northern Norway, north of the Arctic Circle. Much of Bodø was destroyed during World War II and the city was reconstructed after that, so there are no old buildings in the urban area. The main reason to visit Bodø is to catch the ferry to the Lofoten islands (or to continue the journey towards south, arriving with the car ferry from the Lofoten islands.
