Landscapes and cities

The area to the south of the Atlas mountain range is semi-desertic due to the limited rainfall. The dominant colour here is red, due the red colour of the rocks. In the valley there are a few towns, such as for instance Ouarzazate, Boulmalne, Tinerhir and oasis towns with cultivated fields. Tinerhir is the starting point for trips to the nearby Todra gorge.
