A selection of pictures of Taman Negara National Park, which is accessible not only by boat but also by car, offers a rare opportunity to visit one of the most pristine primary rainforests in the world. The park covers 4343 sq km, sprawling across Pahang, Kelantan and Terengganu.
Accommodation in the village opposite the park HQ is less expensive than in the park itself and there is more choice of restaurants. Overall the national parks in Sarawak and Sabah are more interesting than Taman Negara. When we went there, we didn't see any wildlife for instance, while we did in East Malaysia.
