Snake island

Pulau Kalampunian Damit, also known as Pulau Ubar or Snake Island is a small islet with some trees about 1.5km northwest of Pulau Tiga, where sea snakes come to mate and nest. Despite the small size of the islet, there are tall trees which probably receive enough water from the frequent rains. The island is the mating place for amphibious sea snakes. Thousand of Laticauda colubrina sea snakes come here to breed and nest.
