Site 1

Site 1 is the largest of the three sites in the Plain of Jars open to tourists. While the area has been demined and cleared of bombs, it is still dangerous to walk there. Coloured concrete markers at ground level indicate the areas which have been cleared. Site 1 contains over 250 jars of varying sizes.
