Luang Prabang is the spiritual centre of Laos, with dozens of beautifully decorated Buddhist temples spread all over the city. Shown in this gallery are Wat Mai Suwannaphumaham, one of the largest and most picturesque of Luang Prabang's monasteries built in 1821, Wat Sensoukharam, Wat Aham Outama, built in 1818, known as the monastery of the Opened Heart, Wat Pa Phonphao on a hill overlooking Luang Prabang and a temple near the Kuang Si waterfalls.
