Ubud is a small town with 8000 inhabitants in central Bali, lying in the plains south of the Gunung Agung mountain. It is considered the arts and culture center of the island. Ubud received an influx of European artists in the 20th century and nowadays there are many museums spread over Ubud. This gallery also shows the celebrations for Indonesia's independence on August 16th.
