The Legong is a classical Balinese palace dance with a very complex set of movements that flow along with the music of a gamelan orchestra. It is a very feminine and graceful dance, traditionally performed by young girls in their early teens. The hand movements are the most mesmerising. As the arms move up and down, the fingers do a dance of their own. The dancers can make individual pairs of fingers flutter simultaneously, at the same time, the eyes are darting from left to right.
