The castle

Some photos of the castle of Villandry, completed in 1536 as the last large castle built in the Loire valley in the Renessaince. The castle architecture lacks Italian influences and medieval architectural elements. The Villandry castle is surrounded by a moat and has a relatively simple layout with a few wings.
