Not much is left nowadays of the Temple of Amun, which lies 200m from the Temple of the Oracle. Only a fragment of a wall with some inscriptions is left standing, because an Ottoman governor blew up the temple in 1896 to obtain building material. The temple was built by the pharaoh Nectanebo in the 30th dynasty.
