Marsa Matruh

The city of Marsa Matruh (alternative spellings are Mersa Matruh or Marsa Matrouh) lies 250km west of Alexandria on Egypt's Mediterranean sea coast. It has a seaport and an airport, and is at the endpoint of the train line from Cairo. Here is where travellers to and from Siwa and Alexandria change buses on their way to Siwa and Alexandria.
