Eastern Europe

There is no consistent definition of which countries are part of Eastern Europe or what Eastern Europe should be. On this website we'll place the European successor countries of the former Soviet Union into this region (that is Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, to name a few), except for the Baltic states, which we place into the Northern Europe region.
