Fujian is a province of China, located on southeast coast, north of Hong Hong and east of Taiwan. It has an area of 121400 kmĀ² and a population of 39 million people. The capital is Fuzhou, but the largest city and main tourist centre is Xiamen. Fujian has a long history, dating back to prehistoric times. The Minyue kingdom existed between 334 BC and 110 BC, until it was annexed by the Qin dinasty. Fujian is a mostly mountainous provice with 63% forest coverage. Its highest peak is the 2157m high Huanggang mountain.
