Porters carry supplies and food to the hotels located on the mountain top. There is also a porter service for tourists, whereby porters carry them on sedan chairs around many locations. The entire area is heavily forested mainly due to the relatively mild climate and the frequent rains. Tibetan macaque monkeys populate the area and feed on rubbish left by tourists.
