Dubai International Airport

The Dubai International Airport is the international airport serving Dubai and the hub to Dubai's airline, Emirates. The airport served almost 25 million passengers in 2005. It has a huge duty free shopping area.
The Dubai airport, which was completed in 1960, is currently undergoing a major expansion which will make it fully Airbus A380 compatible. A connection to the Dubai Metro will be built by 2012.
