A selection of pictures of Koh Phi Phi, twin islands lying about half-way between Krabi and Phuket in the Andaman sea off Southern Thailand's west coast. Of these two islands only the larger, Koh Phi Phi Don, a dumbbell shaped slice, is inhabited. The smaller one, Koh Phi Phi Leh, is a popular destination for day trips from either Phuket or Koh Phi Phi Don.
The photos you see here were taken during a brief three day visit in August 99 (some by climbing on top of the hills and others by taking a boat trip around the island). Of the two main bays, only Loh Dalam is really suitable for swimming as the other one is used as a harbour for boats and ships. The weather was fine during my stay, although on the day I left (Aug.22) it started raining heavily.
