Mallorca is a mediterranean island belonging to the kingdom of Spain. It is mountaineous in the north and west and consists of plains otherwise. The climate is mediterranean with mild and rainy winters and warm sunny summers. The capital of Mallorca is the city of Palma. The island is a popular tourist destination and receives large numbers of package tourists, many from Germany and the United Kingdom.
