Beaches

The beaches are the absolute highlight of Salalah. These consist of white coral sand, soft like feathers, are very wide (up to 50m) and extend for tens of km to the east and west of Salalah. In Salalah the beaches are line by coconut palms. Despite being on the mainland near a city, the sea water is very clean. Bird colonies spend the winter months on the beaches in Salalah.
