This photo gallery contains pictures of islands lying south of Langkawi. Pulau Dayang Bunting is the biggest island of this archipelago and contains a big fresh water lake - Tasik Dayang Bunting ('Lake of the pregnant maiden'). Swimming there is possible. In the lake there is a catfish colony. These fish are not afraid of humans and will even massage your feet...
Pulau Singa Besar has a wildflife reserve (not much to see actually) and offers decent snorkelling, as the sea water there is quite clear. Opposite Pulau Singa Besar lies Pulau Beras Basah, which has a nice beach (but not so clear water). Paragliding and banana boat activities are possible there.
