Kellie's castle is a mansion built in the 1920s by William Kellie Smith, a Scottish entrepreneur who grew rich investing in rubber estates in Malaysia. The mansion was never completed because Smith left Malaysia in 1925 and died abroad. The mansion is built in Moorish style. Nowadays only ruins are left. Kellie's castle lies 12 km south of Ipoh and is a local tourist attraction.
