Studies centre

The Maliau basin studies centre is a large complex of buildings and infrastructure located just south of the Maliau basin, 27km from the security gate. The buildings are mostly wooden, and are centered around a large pond. There is a reception/office, a library, a mini theatre, souvenir shop, a conference building, staff living quarters, a restaurant, a hostel with a kitchen, chalets for individual travellers, technical infrastructure and other infrastructure. A/C power is available from 7am to 11pm. The hostel has no air conditioning (only fans).
