The longhouses of the Rungus settlement in Bavanggazo (Sabah) are all built with traditional materials such as bamboo and wood and very well preserved. The typical Rungus longhouse consists of a number of living quarters for the families of the settlement which all open into a large common space. The main longhouse extends for over 100m on different levels on a hill at the edge of the rainforest.
