These are some plants which grow in tropical or subtropical regions and are cultivated in Malaysia. The leaves of the lemon grass are used in cooking, particularly for lechon and roasted chicken. Pandan leaves are used to enhance the flavour of pulao, biryani and sweet coconut rice pudding. Sabah snake grass is used to treat a variety of diseases including cancer.
