The Tokyo International Forum near the central station was completed in 1996 and is based on a design by Rafael Vinoly. The main structure with the shape of a great curving ship consists of a huge atrium with steel and glass walls. Ramps on its internal sides lead to the upper levels, which are also interconnected by passageways. The Tokyo International Forum contains an exhibition hall and a conference center.
