Kansai international airport

The Kansai airport (IATA code: KIX) is an international airport located on an artificial island in the Osaka Bay, 38 km southwest of Osaka. It serves as the main gateway for international travellers to Osaka. Construction of the airport started in 1987 and the airport was opened to the public in 1994.
