The Vakil mosque (Masjed-e Vakil) is a zand period mosque in Shiraz. Built between 1751 and 1773 it has two iwans instead of the usual four overseeing a large inner court. The vaulted prayer hall, 75m x 36m, is supported by 48 carved monolithic columns. Adjacent to the mosque is the Vakil bath house with beautifully decorated interiors.
