The Gate of all Nations was built under Xerxes I as a monumental gateway through which foreign delegations could enter the city of Persepolis. The gate was a large 25m x 25m square hall with bull-like figures meant to guard the gate and four columns at its centre. The only structures left today are the columns and the western and eastern entrances, with remains of statues of bull-like guardians.
