The Armenian Vank cathedral (also known as Holy Saviour cathedral) lies in Jolfa, the district of Isfahan where Armenians have settled down. Originally built as a small chapel in 1606, it was expanded to its present size in 1655. On its northern side lies a museum which contains many Armenian heritage items.
