Beaches

The south of Bali is the major tourist area of the island, where most tourists converge. Sanur is an upmarket beach on the eastern side of the southern Balinese peninsula. The beach is nice, but swimming is difficult due to the coral reef. Nusa Dua is a peninsula in the southern tip of Bali, where there are many five star hotels. Tanah Lot is a famous rock formation off the southwestern coast of Bali where a famous pilgrimage temple, Pura Tanah Lot, is located.
