India Fatehpur Sikri photo gallery, stock photos, fine art prints
Fatehpur Sikri, the red sandstone capital of the Mughal empire, was built in the 16th century by the Mughal emperor Akbar on a rocky outcrop near the city of Agra in India. It was the capital only between 1571-1584. Being a ceremonial capital, it does not have fortifications. It has been classified by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.
