Langeoog is an East Frisian island lying along the North Sea in Lower Saxony. It has about 2000 inhabitants and in the summer attracts a large number of visitors who come to visit the beautiful beaches and the Wadden Sea national park. Langeoog is 14km long from west to east. As with all East Frisian islands Langeoog's coastline is constantly eroded and shifted by the sea.
