Borg El Arab airport

The Borg El Arab airport is the major airport of Alexandria since the Alexandria International airport is closed for renovations between 2010 and 2013. It lies 40km southwest of Alexandria and has a capacity to handle 1.2 million passengers per year. The airport is relatively modern, although the national departures area only has one cafe and no restaurants.
