The Wenshu Buddhist temple in Chengdu was built during the Tang Dynasty (618-907 AD), destroyed during the Ming dynasty and later rebuilt in 1691. Today the temple is the largest and best preserved Buddhist temple in Chengdu. It hosts the Buddhist Association of Sichuan.
