Pudong New Area

The Pudong New Area on the eastern side of the Huangpu river is a special economic zone which was built in the 1990s. Where before there were farms and vegetables grew, now there are skyscrapers and modern buildings. In this area there are also the Oriental Pearl and Jin Mao towers (see the respective galleries).
